A trapped look.


Regard sour bouches, means closed look, a look which is trapped – just a title of collage tells us a lot of a work content. So we will find women and senses, a seductive harmony of both those phenomenons.

Localization it will be quite easy, the whole picture is decorated by many images of unquestionable feminine beauty, borrowed from different sources. Those fragments, of women faces mostly, look like just cut out from women's popular magazines (probably about fashion, make-up, style – for well groomed women, creating themselves courageously.

Mouths and eyes predominate. Lips, in majority, are smiling self-confidently and satisfied, some of them pursed in thoughtfulness. Eyelids, eyelashes, eyebrows – all of them covered with a perfect make up, making a gallery of mascaras and eyeshades on beautiful women appearances. Like a fetish of  lips and eyes.

They eclipse a little other feminine creations: a businesswoman in glasses with eyes fixed on something or a lady stylized like 1920s - 1930s. Whole picture is decorated by gentle and sensual symbols: there is a sensory cherry somewhere, a vital, white steed somewhere else.

The collage is colored mostly in yellows broken by deep black. Stylized a little like posters from between 1970s and 1980s. We can find some delicate feminine decorations, chains, butterflies.

Whole work creates a specific image of womanhood. Composed by glued materials is bright and expressive. The collage art has its roots in cubism and we can find elements from that trend in “Regard sour bouches”. The work is practically made of anatomical, parted from the rest of its body, fragments.

How different woman face could be? How big is diversification of femininity attributes? Artist shows us some kind of possibilities intersection. However they all are maintained in quite homogeneous style. Looking through ladies encountered in women’s magazines, we could find many other types. Authors idea was probably showing that essence of sensuality, a seducing mystery.

All characters of the work are esthetical, metropolitan, wearing high heels; modern buildings in the background, we meet a collection of present-day successful woman imagination. Woman has many faces – in Mira’s collage all of them are full of sex appeal.

If we like feminine aesthetic, which decoration could be more beautiful than sublimated summary of women images, placed in intimate, sensual atmosphere . Small size (50 x 60), but maximum of content.

At the collage we can see many elements, it’s not ordered, systematic. We’re looking rather at the fully considered chaos. That planned muddle enlarges an impression of intensity. The whole picture is more dynamic and violent, thanks to it.

An observer can even feel confused, overburdened by tremendous emotions expressed by the collage, but isn’t the same situation with feminine images, with women? Aren’t they crushing, predatory? But also full of sensuality and erotic at the same time – just like “Regard sour bouches”.
